Tru by Hilton Breaks Ground as Part of New Hilton Dual-Brand Property in Charlotte

Tru by Hilton and Hampton by Hilton Celebrate Upcoming North Carolina Property
Offering travelers the opportunity to choose the brand that best fits their style, the property will have 219 rooms total, with 107 for Tru by Hilton and 112 for Hampton by Hilton. The hotel will have two distinct lobbies and dining areas - each catering to the needs of their respective guests.
Hilton (NYSE: HLT) today broke ground on a new Tru by Hilton in Charlotte, North Carolina, which will be a dual-brand property with Hampton by Hilton. This event marks the latest addition to Tru by Hilton’s robust pipeline of dual-brand hotels, which comprises 12.8 percent of the brand’s deals in various stages of development.
Tru by Hilton continues unprecedented momentum with second grand opening in McDonough, Georgia
Hilton (NYSE: HLT) today will celebrate Tru by Hilton McDonough, the brand’s second grand opening, near Atlanta. Just weeks after Tru by Hilton’s first-ever grand opening, at Tru by Hilton Oklahoma City Airport, today’s milestone highlights the brand’s impressive momentum – and will be followed by nearly one opening per month for the rest of 2017 and nearly 60 openings in 2018. In less than two months from the grand opening, Tru by Hilton will have four properties open, including Tru By Hilton Cheyenne in Wyoming and Tru by Hilton Lancaster East in Pennsylvania.

Tru by Hilton Announces Month of Groundbreaking Celebrations
Hilton Worldwide (NYSE: HLT) yesterday kicked off a month of groundbreaking celebrations for its youngest and fastest-growing hotel brand in company history, Tru by Hilton. A ceremony in Lancaster, Penn., this week marked the first of 10 groundbreakings Tru by Hilton will host in the next 30 days all over the country. The event series, spanning Pennsylvania, Texas, Mississippi, Iowa, South Carolina, Alabama, New York and Virginia, will demonstrate Tru’s commitment to breaking the mold at every occasion and celebrate the one-year anniversary of introducing Hilton Worldwide’s new midscale brand to the development community.
Tru by Hilton Expands Across US with Oklahoma City Groundbreaking
On Friday, less than four months after Tru by Hilton’s public debut, Hilton Worldwide (NYSE: HLT) broke ground on the brand’s second property, located in Oklahoma City. The celebratory event, in keeping with Tru’s forward-thinking and innovative personality, swapped out hard hats and shovels for 3D artwork of the hotel’s exterior design, which allowed attendees to feel as though they were part of the hotel. Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin addressed the crowd and Oklahoma City Mayor Mick Cornett and local Councilman Larry McAtee also attended Friday's event.
Tru by Hilton Breaks Ground on First Property
Hilton Worldwide (NYSE: HLT) today broke ground on its very first Tru by Hilton property located in McDonough, Georgia. The celebration marked the fastest brand announcement to groundbreaking in Hilton history, less than eight weeks after Tru’s public debut. Demonstrating Tru’s commitment to breaking the mold at every occasion, the milestone event tossed traditional hard hats and shovels aside, treating guests to an unveiling of 3D chalk paintings created of the hotel’s exterior and guest room design that allowed attendees to feel as though they were part of the hotel. In addition, attendees had some fun in an interactive photo booth that placed them right inside the lobby of the hotel.
